Mortal Engines is nothing more than another tool to desensitize the audience to what will become apparent rather immediately! Oh cities don't float in the air but for Centuries the City of London, Washington DC (not part of the United States) and the city of Rome were the power centers appointed to bring about the rule of the New World Order! We are not buying that future! Cities are nothing more than collections of people! People who matter! People who by their simple Humanity deserve far more respect than those elite Billionaires who would sacrifice all of Humanity for their insane bid to become demigods! Make no mistake! I am not talking about some religious hyperbole! They mean to harness technology which will replace society with machines and leave only them and their slaves (you have to have slaves when everyone else is gone or you have nobody to rule over)! Sound insane?? It is! Look into it IF YOU DARE!

Carbon fiber brake, if steel brake weight would be over 300 lbs, than a hoist is used! since this video was done, new procedure new axle nut locking bolt and nut comes with tire, or brake, never use the old wheel nut locking bolt and nut, as locking may be no good allowing wheel nut to become loose and wheel/tire leaving the a/c!

Man I feel like there are way too many steps to taking the wheels off this aircraft. On our Embraer 145s and CRJ 700s you remove the axle nut cover and remove the axle nut and the wheel is off. Literally 3 bolts and a axle nut and you can access the brake.

I'm surprised there wasn't any safety wire on the brake temperature sensor connector & there was no mention of that connector being safety wired after being re-connected on the inboard side of the wheel. I did see a hole on the connector for safety wire though so maybe that part of the video was just omitted. We FAA Certificated Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics usually use a hydraulic wheel jack that has a couple arms that stick out like a forklift to pick up large tires. Some people mentioned safety shoes or boots & most repair places say you have to wear them because of accidents & lawsuits but it's up to the employer. There was mention of not wearing gloves also. I can tell you from personal experience, that MEK, ACETONE, ETC. does soak into your skin quickly & I didn't get sick (yet-hope not) using it many times without gloves. I do believe though it messed up the skin on my hands because after touching something really dusty dirty & dry like coiling up an electrical extension cord my hands almost immediately start peeling really bad (use O'Keeffe's Working Hands best stuff EVER!). So if one of your co-workers gives you any shit & says you're being a pussy for wearing gloves punch that mother fucker right in the face it's your body not theirs! LOL JK! These videos are part of training & not to be used for actual repair although that's exactly how it's done LOL. Reason being we are only supposed to use the CURRENT version of the aircraft manufacturer's (U.S.A.- F.A.A.) OR Airlines APPROVED Aircraft Maintenance Manual & every time we use it we must check to make sure we are using the most current revision of said manual & where I worked provide a copy of the procedures from that manual. There's more to it than this also like paperwork, inspectors, torque wrench calibration stickers ETC, ETC, ETC, but I already started writing a book here. There are a few minor things a pilot or owner is allowed to do like changing a tire, filters, hose ends ETC. Consult online Federal Aviation Regulations F.A.R.'s/C.F.R.'s 43.3 www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?node=pt14.1.43 OR 43.3 (d) A person working under the supervision of a holder of a mechanic or repairman certificate may perform the maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations that his supervisor is authorized to perform, if the supervisor personally observes the work being done to the extent necessary to ensure that it is being done properly and if the supervisor is readily available, in person, for consultation. However, this paragraph does not authorize the performance of any inspection required by Part 91 or Part 125 of this chapter or any inspection performed after a major repair or alteration. Any good reasonable sane questions just ask me.

It depends on if it is 319, 320 or 321. 95% sure it is 300 ft-lbs initial and 150 ft-lbs final for 319/320. Gotta check the manuals when I get back to work to be 100%.

Be sure and to check and tag-off the landing gear lever. You never know when someone might wander into the cockpit and try and to raise the landing gear while the plane sits on the ground.

    • Exoress Delivers
      Exoress Delivers 2 साल पहले

+Brian Straight those "Danger" stickers maybe stock stickers. In this particular case perhaps they put the stickers on there not because it is truly dangerous to touch the switches but simply because they don't want anyone to tamper with the switches thereby setting off the alarm while they are working below.

    • Brian Straight
      Brian Straight 2 साल पहले

Yeah, but it's not a mechanical system. The lever isn't attached to anything it's an electronic system that activates the hydraulic pumps to raise the gear. Even prop-planes have a similar system. More over the system is designed to not be able to raise the gear when the plane is on the ground; likely through the weight of the plane pressing down on the suspension.
So it's an odd warning to put there because raising the lever for the gear would cause an alarm or something to go off but it'd do nothing to the gear itself.

    • F22_Pilot
      F22_Pilot 2 साल पहले +1

If there's a warning for it, it means it has happened before.
